Britt was such an asshole in the film, can you imagine how much worse he’d be as a Regency gentleman? I don’t think the bromance would even be possible.
Lenore is a clever working class spinster (36!) with upwardly mobile aspirations. Kato came over to America as a ship’s carpenter.
